Jennifer Lopez and World of Dance Team Up for New Series

Hamptonite Jennifer Lopez is one busy celeb. In addition to releasing a single with Hamilton braintrust Lin-Manuel Miranda, starring on crooked cop drama Shades of Blue and in several films, the multi-talented singer/dancer/actress will executive produce World of Dance, a nationwide dance competition that will air on NBC. The winner will receive $1 million!

According to NBC’s press release, World of Dance is “among the most trusted and fastest growing dance and music entertainment brands, combining a successful digital platform of more than 8 million subscribers with the world’s largest international urban dance competition.”

Lopez said in a statement:

“This will be a fierce talent-heavy dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents,” said Lopez.  “I am excited to work with World of Dance, an organization that has had an immeasurable impact on the dance community, to give all dancers an enormous platform where their dreams can be realized.”
