Katie Lee to Co-Host Dan's Taste of Two Forks 2016
Katie Lee, host of The Cooking Channel’s new series Beach Bites and co-host of Food Network’s The Kitchen, is joining the biggest foodie event of the year as cohost of Dan’s Taste of Two Forks 2016 on Saturday, July 23, alongside cohost Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.
A once-in-a-lifetime gathering of the top chefs, winemakers and purveyors on both the South and North Forks of Long Island, Taste of Two Forks is a true toast to all things local. An East Ender herself, Lee knows the importance of “local,” especially when it comes to food and drink. “Local means I could drive over to the farm and pick it up and make it for dinner that night,” she says. “If I turn right out of my driveway, I can be at the produce farm in five minutes, if I turn left, I can be at the chicken farm in five minutes. That’s local.”
During the evening, Dan’s Taste of Two Forks will showcase the creations of 40 local chefs for all guests to savor, and VIP ticket holders will be treated to a meet-and-greet with both Lee and Guarnaschelli as they sign their newest cookbooks for 100 lucky guests inside the exclusive BNB VIP lounge. With so many fine-food enthusiasts under the big tent on the shores of Mecox Bay, Lee knows this will be a celebration of culinary excellence like no other.
“Eastern Long Island is one of the great culinary areas, one of the best food cultures, in the country,” says Lee, who shared in the gastronomic glory as cohost of both last summer’s sold-out Taste of Two Forks with Michael Symon and the 2014 spectacular with Geoffrey Zakarian. “When people in other places hear ‘Hamptons,’ I think they think of this glitzy, glamorous place, but I really think it should be known for its food and wine. This is like a food mecca. And it’s so fantastic that Dan’s is celebrating all that with this event every year.”
Hurry, get your tickets now to Dan’s Taste of Two Forks presented by Farrell Building Company.
