Surfer Quincy Davis Named Ambassador of Taste for Inaugural Dan’s ClambakeMTK at Gurney’s Montauk

Chowabunga! Montauk Native and pro surfer Quincy Davis is set to hang ten at Dan’s ClambakeMTK at Gurney’s Montauk as the official Ambassador of Taste.

Quincy comes from a family of surfers, and it was in Montauk where Quincy rode her first wave, fell in love with surfing and, by the age of 12, secured a sponsorship with surf wear manufacturer Volcom. Known for her fast and agile yet graceful style, it didn’t take Quincy long to become a standout on the junior tour by winning contests around the globe and claiming 1st place at the Corona Pro from 2012 to 2015. While Quincy divides her time between traveling for sponsors, media shoots, and a select array of surf contests, her sights are set on creative pursuits in the worlds of fashion and beauty—but Quincy will always find time for the waves.​

The newest event in the Dan’s Taste of Summer lineup, Dan’s ClambakeMTK at Gurney’s Montauk takes place on Saturday, July 30 and features a lineup of over 20 chefs from Montauk to Manhattan serving up their take on the “clambake reimagined,” a bevy of handcrafted libations and endless fun overlooking the beach at Gurney’s Montauk. VIPs will dance the night away at Dan’s Taste of Summer’s first-ever VIP After Party! Hosted by Chef Marc Murphy, Judge on Food Network’s Chopped, Benchmarc Restaurants (Landmarc + Ditch Plains), Kingside, Grey Salt and author of Season with Authority: Confident Home Cooking; and Eden Grinshpan, television personality and cook best known for her Cooking Channel shows Eden Eats and Log On and Eat with Eden Grinshpan, a traveling show across the United States.

A portion of ticket proceed from Dan’s ClambakeMTK will go to benefit the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation and their campaign to construct an Aquatic and Cultural Center in the historic Montauk Playhouse, and The Retreat, which provides safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic abuse and works to break the cycle of family violence.
