The Hampton Designer Showhouse is Back This Fall
Welcome to another summer of architectural prowess and creative design at the Hampton Designer Showhouse!
With approximately 25 top interior designers and decorative artists each year, the Showhouse has become a must–see for those with a passion for artistically curated spaces. The home is set for opening on July 24 in Sag Harbor, and will once again benefit Southampton Hospital. All proceeds raised will help the local hospital provide the very best care to this area’s residents.
This year marks the 16th anniversary of the interior design display and the event will be bigger than ever. “It’s a national showhouse event now,” says producer Tony Manning.
Manning strives for an eclectic and creative mix by using designers and decorators from all over the country. “We try and use new, as well as established, designers to inject fresh concepts and looks each year,” he explains.
For the house to be completed, designers must collaborate to create one cohesive look. Each designer is tasked with decorating one room or a specific part of the home. “We have new designers this year and there will be a lot of new design trends,” says Manning.
On the roster for this year are design firms such as Art Works & Designs, Inc., Bakes and Kropp, Baltimore Design Group, Dodson Interiors, Dyfari Interiors, Elle Cole Interiors, Inc., Elsa R. Soyars Interiors, Erin Gates Design, Kate Singer Home, Kyle Roberts Interior Design, Liliane Hart Interiors, Mabley Handler Interior Design, Marie-Christine Design, McGrath II, Melanie Turner Interiors, Mendelson Group, Inc., Michael Del Piero, Mikel Welch Designs LLC, The Rinfret Group, Tilton Fenwick and Wolf Interior Designs.
There will also be the favored QR codes in each room of the house, allowing guests to access audio (via their phones) that provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the design process. Manning says that the QR codes receive great feedback each year. “Everyone really enjoys this. It gives the designers more of an ability to show how they did each room.”
The home is built by Bodenchak Design & Build, and Manning hopes visitors will leave the Showhouse more knowledgeable about everything that goes into making such a grand and refined space. “I hope visitors have a great day and take away lots of ideas and inspiration they feel they can incorporate into their own homes.”
Manning encourages everyone to visit the Showhouse this year, and is looking forward to a great event that raises money for an excellent cause. “Come on down and have a great day,” he says.
