Joy Behar Sells East Hampton Home
East End Comedian Joy Behar has finally sold her East Hampton home!
The comedian’s cozy two-story house was placed on the market this past March for $3.8 million, though last month she dropped the price to $3.45 million.
The house includes 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, marble countertops and stainless steel kitchen fixtures. It’s built around a marvelous great room, crowned by a high, vaulted cathedral ceiling complete with skylights that let in plenty of natural light.
Resting on 0.78 acres, the humble summer pad also has a heated Gunite pool, multiple terraces, an outdoor fireplace, a separate two-car garage and a modest backyard. The home is also located amid local farmland, providing plenty of that scenic beauty only the Hamptons has to offer.
Back when Behar’s house first hit the market, the comedian’s brokers told her fans and inquirers that she wasn’t leaving the East End completely, just relocating. Back in 2012, Behar did something similar when she sold her home in Sagaponack to buy her now former home in East Hampton.
So where is Behar headed next? Reports say she’s headed to Sag Harbor, possibly to Watchcase‘s “village-within-a-village,” according to Curbed Hamptons, trading in the picturesque farmland for the bustling East End destination. At least she’ll be near her beloved Bay Street Theater, where she sits on the Board of Trustees.
Behar remains as one of the co-hosts of The View, returning after a two-year leave. She hosts the show beside Whoopi Goldberg and Raven-Symoné. Her TLC late night show Late Night Joy has yet to be renewed for a second season.
