Southampton Hospital Summer Party Raises $1.3M
On Saturday, August 6, Southampton Hospital’s 58th Annual Summer Party raised over $1.3 million benefitting the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department, which is the only emergency care provider on the South Fork.
This year’s benefit was hosted by benefit chairs Hollis and Jim Forbes, and Bill and Marigay McKee. The chairpeople along with Southampton Hospital CEO Robert Chaloner and Southampton Hospital Foundation President Steve Bernstein helped welcome 600 guests at the fundraiser.
Lawrence Scott Events decorated tables with gold shell centerpieces holding orchids and ferns. Guests were able to select food from a buffet as they grooved to tunes played by the Groove Society. The night was rounded off with a live auction featuring tickets to Broadway shows, including Waitress, Hamilton and Cats.
This year’s benefit was emceed by NBC’s Chuck Scarborough. Other well-known guests in attendance included Southampton Mayor Mark Epley and his wife Marianne, John Paulson, Martin and Jean Shafiroff, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Julie Ratner, President of the Board of Trustees of the Southampton Hospital Foundation Howard M. Lorber and Dr. Kenneth Kaushansky.
