Aaron Eckhart, Holly Hunter, Edward Norton Join HIFF 'A Conversation With...' Series
The Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) announced today that Aaron Eckhart, Holly Hunter and Edward Norton will participate in this year’s “A Conversation With…” series of talks, a signature program at the festival. HIFF also announced their jury members for the 24th annual festival, taking place over Columbus Day weekend, October 6–10.
Aaron Eckhart will take part in “A Conversation With…” at Guild Hall on Friday, October 7 at 1 p.m. The Golden Globe-nominated actor stars as boxing trainer Kevin Rooney in Bleed for This, one of HIFF’s Spotlight Films screening just a couple of hours after Eckhart’s talk at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Written and directed by Ben Younger, Bleed for This is a boxing biopic based on the life of former world champion boxer Vinny Paz.
Academy Award-winning actress and producer Holly Hunter will take part in “A Conversation With…” at the East Hampton Middle School on Saturday, October 8 at 1 p.m. Hunter stars in Katherine Dieckmann’s Strange Weather, the Southampton Opening Night Film on Friday, October 7 at 7 p.m. Strange Weather tells the story of “a mother who travels the back roads of the deep South to settle a score in an effort to deal with the grief over the death of her son.” Hunter plays the lead character, Darcy Baylor, in the film.
Three-time Academy Award-nominated actor, director, producer and activist Edward Norton will participate in “A Conversation With…” at East Hampton Middle School on Sunday, October 9 at 1 p.m. Norton is being honored at the festival with a Career Achievement Award at a special dinner on Sunday, October 9.
“Our ‘A Conversation With…’ series has been a focal point of the Hamptons International Film Festival since its inception,” HIFF Executive Director Anne Chaisson says, noting that the festival is honored to have such esteemed actors participate this year. “These riveting conversations allow audiences a deeper look into the cinematic discussion of acting and filmmaking.”
The 24th annual Hamptons International Film Festival, which will be held over Columbus Day weekend, October 6–10. Founder Passes and ticket packages are currently available for purchase at hamptonsfilmfest.org. Individual tickets will be available starting Monday, September 26.
