2016 Dan's Best of the Best Winners Announced Friday, October 21

After several months and hundreds of thousands of votes cast, the 2016 Dan’s Best of the Best contest concluded at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 17. Now we tally the votes and await the numbers to see which East End businesses will take home the prestigious Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in each category on the North and South Forks. Stay tuned, the results will be announced this Friday, October 21.

Each year, this is an exciting time where we anticipate the winners in more than 200 categories in the arenas of Arts & Entertainment; Food & Drink; Home Services; Pets; Professional Services; Recreation, Travel & Tourism; Restaurants & Nightlife; Shopping; and Wellness & Beauty. Will 2015’s winners be dethroned? Will a bronze winner move up to Gold or Platinum? Or will a completely new dark horse come from out of nowhere to rule the day?

We’ll find out on Friday!

Dan’s Best of the Best began more than 25 years ago, and the famous blue ribbon has become symbol of excellence in our communities. In keeping with tradition, all winners are invited to attend the annual awards celebration, which has been held the past three Novembers at Suffolk Theater in Riverhead, and will return to the venue on Friday, November 11. Exclusively for our winners, the Dan’s Best of the Best awards party is always a night to remember, a rollicking evening of music, food, drink, congratulations and, of course, the presentation of the coveted Dan’s Best of the Best award certificates.

Invites will be sent out to all winners after they’re announced, but the public can also get in on the action at our annual Dan’s Best of the Best Celebration Concert at 7:30 p.m. immediately following the awards party at Suffolk Theater. This year, the planet’s mightiest mashup band, New Life Crisis, headlines the concert as we celebrate their induction into the Dan’s Best of the Best Hall of Fame!

General Admission tickets to the concert are $25 in advance, $40 at the door. VIP Admission is also available, which includes reserved table seating for four people in the VIP Balcony, waitress service and exclusive VIP gift bag with a bottle of local wine. (Please note that the VIP Balcony is not handicapped accessible. With advanced notice, we are happy to make special accommodations as needed.)
