Hamptons Fall Farmers Market Guide
Here is THE most delicious way to support local agriculture: shopping at your local farmers markets.
A farmers market is defined as a gathering place where local farmers sell fruit and vegetables and often meat, cheese, and bakery products directly to consumers. So you get to meet the great people behind your favorite foods and ask questions.
On the East End we are blessed with many such markets and fall is the richest time of year to shop them. Right now vendor tables overflow with beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, greens, herbs, peppers, potatoes, squash, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and, yes, apples and pumpkins too!
