Alec Baldwin Returns to Match Game, Saturday Night Live
You can never have too much Alec Baldwin in your life.
The East Hampton-based star, who has been getting near-universal acclaim for his hilarious portrayal of Donald Trump on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, is keeping busy. The actor, who is raising three young children with wife Hilaria, could not appear on the SNL episode that followed the election, but will appear this coming Saturday, November 19, likely in scenes addressing Trump’s win.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Baldwin explained, “I’m going to do it again this weekend, but not all that often. There was a lot of things online that was said about it—like why didn’t I do it after the election? I was booked that weekend. Not even other jobs; we have things to do. It crashes every weekend.”
According to Variety, Baldwin will continue to appear on SNL as Baldwin “every now and then.”
But fans of Baldwin shouldn’t worry about missing him on their screens. Baldwin will return to host more episodes of Match Game on ABC starting Wednesday, January 4 at 10 p.m. The revival of the classic game show was part of a successful block of Sunday programming over the summer that included other game shows, including To Tell the Truth (which will also return).
