Donald Trump and Those Paid Protestors
I am writing this on Friday, November 11. Earlier this evening, I was out on the street in Manhattan, watching people carrying signs protesting against Donald Trump. They read NOT MY PRESIDENT. NO TRUMP, NO KKK and other things. What I write here will appear in Dan’s Papers a week from now. I hope it is relevant.
The people on the street are protesting for other Americans, notably frightened Hispanics and Muslims. What is to become of them? These are Americans, too! Don’t Americans have civil rights? As you know, Trump, during his campaign, insulted many people. Yet he wrote in his agenda he wants to bring all Americans together, regardless of race or religion.
Instead, tonight, Trump sent out a tweet. It reads “Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair.”
One hopes for better than this.
