Andy Cohen Features Kelly Ripa and Anderson Cooper on 'Watch What Happens Live'

Three East Enders on one television screen? What a treat!

Hamptonite Kelly Ripa appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live with fellow East Ender Anderson Cooper this past Wednesday, where Cohen gave Ripa a list of potential co-hosts. Among the people on the list? Disgraced news anchor Billy Bush, who lost his job after a controversial video featuring him and President-elect Donald Trump making extremely sexist remarks was released during the campaign season. Ripa noted that she’d consider Bush, because she’d want to find out what really happened on the bus ride featured in the infamous video. Added Cooper, “We work in an industry where it’s up to viewers who they want to watch. I understand why the show made the decision they did…I think Billy Bush understands the industry. I think he had a settlement, and I’m sure he’ll bounce back in one way or another.”

Ripa clarified the timeline on finding a co-host for the show. “We really didn’t set a timeframe for ourselves. We wanted to wait until we found the right person. What we didn’t anticipate is that we’d have such an outpouring of interest, so the list got very long very quickly.”
