'Younger' Season Finale Heads to Montauk
TV Land’s original series, Younger, airs its Season 3 finale tonight, where the characters head to Montauk. Younger is a dramatic comedy starring Sutton Foster as Liza, a woman in her 40s who pretends to be in her 20s in order to get a job in the publishing industry. Along the way she becomes friends with coworker Kelsey (Hilary Duff), finds love with hot young tattoo artist Josh (Nico Tortorella) and becomes highly successful, all while trying to keep the secret of her age, despite having a daughter in college.
Younger filmed the Montauk storyline on location after the production had to scrap plans to travel to Cuba and Miami. Creator Darren Star told Entertainment Weekly, “It was going to be a writers’ and artists’ conference in Cuba that involved looking for a lost Hemingway manuscript. We were going to Cuba, and Zika happened. Then we thought we’d go to Miami for a book fair…and Zika followed us.” The Montauk story is adapted from the Miami idea.
The two-part finale airs tonight, December 14, at 10 p.m. Watch a preview of the Montauk adventure below.
