An Animated History of The Montauk Project

Check out this fantastic and fun animation about the history of the Montauk Project legend from Tom Bogdan’s 2014 film Reel Montauk…To The End and Beyond! (click link to download), which tells the story of the Hamptons’ hottest hamlet through vintage footage, animation, original music and interviews with long-time residents.

The legend retold here mostly takes place at the Camp Hero military base in Montauk, and was widely popularized by the 1992 book of the same name, The Montauk Project: Experiments in Time, by Preston Nichols and Peter Moon. Whether you believe the stories or not, these animation is a lark to watch.
