CMEE Receives $10,000 Grant from Bridgehampton National Bank
The Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Bridgehampton National Bank to support arts programming in the Riverhead and Riverside communities.
“Riverside Rediscovered and community are thrilled that the Bridgehampton National Bank has awarded CMEE a $10,000 grant,” said Riverside Rediscovered community liaison Siris Barrios in a press release. “CMEE is having a lifelong impact on the development of the children and the families they touch their programming.”
Since 2015, CMEE has offered after-school art workshops for students in the offices of Riverside Rediscovered, a successful community improvement program, which just began its 11th session.
This grant will also help CMEE work on programming with the Town of Southampton.
“As a local bank with deep roots in the community, we are delighted to support the great work of CMEE to help bring the benefits of their arts programming to young people in Riverhead and Riverside,” said Daniel Delehanty, Bridgehampton National Bank CRA Officer & Director of Community Development.
“From providing the loan for the Museum’s construction over a decade ago to provide funding that ensures all families, regardless of means, can enjoy arts programming, Bridgehampton National Bank continues to demonstrate a long-term commitment to the community. We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support they have continued to show both us and families living in the East End,” CMEE president Stephen Long said.
Riverside Rediscovered is a community-driven initiative to shape Riverside as a vibrant, inspiring destination that is representative of its community’s shared values, based on the triple bottom line of being economically, socially and environmentally beneficial.
