Jimmy Fallon Writes Second Children's Book
The Tonight Show host and Sagaponack resident Jimmy Fallon has many accomplishments, but did you know that he is a New York Times-bestselling author? Fallon wrote Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA (Macmillan) in 2015, a picture book that helps make sure your baby’s first word will be “Dada.”
The book was supposedly inspired by his daughter, Winnie Rose, whose first word was “Mama.” Fallon told People, “I tried everything, but Winnie’s first word was mama…I’m not a doctor or a child psychologist, but I think if this works and everyone’s babies’ first words are ‘Dada,’ then maybe there should be a wing in a university dedicated to the science behind it.”
Fallon is currently working on a sequel to Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA. According to Macmillan, Everything is MAMA takes “a lighthearted look at the world from your baby’s point of view, as different animals try to teach their children that there are other words in addition to MAMA for familiar objects and activities.” Fallon told People, “I wrote my first children’s book because I wanted my baby’s first word to be ‘Dada.’ It worked. But her second, third and fourth word was ‘Mama.’ She even wanted ‘Mama’ to read Dada. Everything is ‘Mama.’ If you have a 3-year-old, they’ll love the pictures. And if you have a 1-year-old, they’ll love how it tastes.”
Everything is MAMA is set to be released on October 10. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights on NBC at 11:30 p.m.
