Scarlett Johansson Brings Lookalike to 'Rough Night' Premiere
A few months ago, the internet was abuzz when Reddit user Denver Dodd posted a picture of his grandmother, Geraldine Dodd, who bore an uncanny resemblance to East Ender Scarlett Johansson when she was younger. Johansson heard about Dodd, agreed that they looked alike, and took to YouTube to invite Dodd out for a drink and to see her new comedy Rough Night. At the time, Dodd told TIME, “I’m not going to be square. I’m going to drink with her and see if I can drink her under the table. She has got to remember to take it easy on me. I’m 40 years older than her!”
Well, Johansson made good on her invite. On Monday evening, Johansson attended the red carpet premiere of Rough Night and brought Dodd as her guest. The women carried matching custom Judith Leiber clutches. Amusingly, Johansson’s read, “Hello, my name is Geraldine” and Dodd’s read, “Hello, my name is Scarlett.”
The film itself may be getting mixed reviews—many are saying that it borrows too heavily from other raunchy comedies, like Bridesmaids and The Hangover—but major props to Johansson for being so cool and fun.
