Sir Ivan and Debbie Gibson Hit the Billboard Chart
Water Mill’s favorite castle lord, philanthropist and electronic music star Sir Ivan is back in the Billboard charts with his single “I Am Peaceman” featuring Debbie Gibson and produced by American Music Award winner Ali Dee. The song reached No. 29 on the Dance Club Songs chart, just under Lady Gaga’s “The Cure” (No. 27) and ahead of Katy Perry’s “Bon Apetit” featuring Migos (No. 30).
Gibson hasn’t charted higher than since “One Step Ahead” reached No. 18 in 1991, making “I Am Peaceman” her best charting song in more than 25 years. The pop star had two singles hit the top 10 on the Dance Club Songs charts in the 1980s: “Shake Your Love” reached No. 6 in 1987, and “Electric Youth” landed at No. 3 in 1989.
Sir Ivan has had eight songs on the Billboard charts, including “Kiss All the Bullies Goodbye” with Taylor Dane, which hit No. 22 in 2015.
Sir Ivan uses his Peaceman persona to fight bullying, discrimination and violence—especially with guns—and, of course, promote peace through philanthropy, music and awareness.
