Liev Schreiber Takes Kids to San Diego Comic-Con
Liev Schreiber is officially a cool dad.
Page Six reports that the East Ender and Ray Donovan star took his two sons, 9-year-old Alexander Pete (who goes by the nickname Sasha) and 8-year-old Samuel Kai, to San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. Sasha dressed as a Jedi from Star Wars, while Samuel went as Suicide Squad character Harley Quinn. Naomi Watts also attended the convention.
Schreiber split with wife Watts last September, though the two are apparently on good terms with each other. But it wasn’t all fun and games for the family at Comic-Con—Watts was there to participate in the Twin Peaks panel, while Schreiber talked about his new film, My Little Pony: The Movie. Watts currently plays the role of Janey-E Jones on Twin Peaks, while Schreiber will be voicing the role of the Storm King, a yeti-satyr who wants to conquer the land of Equestria, in My Little Pony: The Movie.
Of course, fans took to social media to express their feelings about Schreiber letting Samuel dress up as Harley Quinn, a female character. In Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn is the girlfriend of the Joker, Batman’s nemesis. One person tweeted, “Parents, be like Liev Schreiber.” Another wrote, “Fun fact: Liev Schreiber is awesome.” There were also some who criticized him, with some believing the costume to be inappropriate for a boy.
We think Schreiber’s pretty awesome for supporting his kids and letting them dress up as the characters they like. Check out a photo of the kids with Schreiber below.
