Martha Stewart Has a Lovely Weekend in the Hamptons
Martha Stewart was on the East End last weekend soaking up the sunshine and spending time at the East Hampton Antiques show. She also planned a big party at her house, Lily Pond.
Stewart attended the preview party for the East Hampton Antiques Show that took place on Mulford Farm. The proceeds from the event went to the East Hampton Historical Society. The show, which was held on July 22 and July 23, had a variety of antiques, art, jewelry and other collectibles from various vendors and dealers.
“The East Hampton Historical Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, present and interpret the heritage of the town and its surroundings. During the year it hosts many exhibits, living history programs, tours, lectures and workshops to raise money for its work,” wrote Stewart on her blog. “It was a wonderful summer evening.”
The iconic television personality had a packed weekend—Stewart also hosted a surprise birthday party for her friends, Ben and Bonnie Krupinski, at Lily Pond.
“I wanted the decorations to be very special, so we set up a long dining table adorned with pretty shells and candles, illuminated the entire area with hundreds of tiny string lights, and brought lots of glorious, fragrant flowers from my Bedford farm,” wrote Stewart.
The interior design enthusiast took to Instagram to showcase her beautiful table display.
The party included beverage stations, lilies, fresh vegetables, cakes and homemade biscuits.
