Friends Of Erin Luncheon

For Kathleen Keller being selected Grand Marshal of the Montauk Friends of Erin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is not only a great honor, but it is also in her DNA.

Her grandfather, Joe Pugh, was a co-organizer of the 1962 Parade, her father, Gil Keller, was 1969 Grand Marshal, and her brother, Pat Keller, held the honor in 2007. Last Friday afternoon, Keller’s extended family and Montauk ‘family,’ neighbors, and close friends celebrated her selfless caring for the community at the annual John Behan’s Grand Marshal Luncheon at Montauk Yacht Club.

The music of a pipe band announced the entrance of the honoree, who was presented with her official hat, sash, and shillelagh. Joan Lycke and Diane Hausman made the introductions. Guests spoke of shared memories, and roasted Kathleen.
