A Super-Charming Steal in Shinnecock
We think you’re going to have to be fast to nab this property, as the agent, Angela Boyer-Stump at Sotheby’s, says that the owner wants to sell before Memorial Day. Even at asking price($2.4 million), we think this is a good buy.
Why? First off, it’s just one house from the bay, with views and nearby beach access. Second, there’s everything a smallish family could want, including a gunite pool with retractible cover, cute little spa pavilion, pretty grounds with brick paths, specimen trees, and marble kitchen and baths. There’s even a separate one-bedroom guest cottage with kitchenette, to stash annoying weekend guests.
The house offers three bedrooms, two on the ground floor and a master suite with a private balcony and library/study on the second floor. (The fourth bedroom is in the cottage.) The lower level is also finished.
None of it is huge, but there’s everything you need, and nothing needs renovation at all. So we think this is a great buy, and since the owner is motivated, as they say, a buyer might be able to get this at a steal if they move fast enough.
