This summer, Calissa will be launching Sunday brunch service for the summer beginning May 13, an Aperol Spritz Bar, as well as an outdoor marketplace that will run through the season, called The Agora. The Agora will open on Memorial Day weekend and will include vendors such as Pared Eyewear, Stephanie Gottlieb, and Tai Jewelry, among others.

PORT
PORT Waterfront Bar and Grill in Greenport is now open for the 2018 summer season. The sophomore year for this popular eatery and watering hole on the waterfront promises to solidify PORT’s reputation as a staple of the burgeoning Greenport restaurant scene.
The brainchild of Shelter Island restaurateurs, Keith and Ali Bavaro, whose popular Shelter Island dockside eatery SALT is a long-time favorite of Hamptons insiders and Shelter Island locals alike, PORT was born out of a true love of hospitality.
“We both love having a restaurant and outdoor bar that truly represents the epitome of a Shelter Island summer, but we have always had a deep connection with the village of Greenport. As kids, we loved the carousel and skating rink; now, as adults, we love the shops and restaurants. The decision to expand our particular type of hospitality to Greenport was a ‘no-brainer,’” said co-owner, Ali Bavaro.
With Chef Alex Williamson boasting a resume that includes time spent at Nick & Toni’s, Gramercy Tavern, Salt and Barrel, and extensive travel in Japan opening restaurants for Chef Morimoto, guests can look forward to some surprising twists on classic waterfront fare.
The Signature Lobster Roll will remain a staple of the menu, but the dish that will get everyone talking is the corn-scallion-lobster waffle, filled with lobster, corn, scallions, and bean sprouts, and topped with kewpie doll mayo, eel sauce, and bonito flakes.
A “Food Experts Only” section of the menu features items such as the crispy whole fish taco, which is served bone-in and head on.
“I want guests to share their dishes and try a bit of everything, and the menu reflects that,” said Chef Williamson. New this year is the family-style seating and sharing menu built specifically to accommodate large parties. The new awning allows outdoor dining late into the season and makes reservations weather-proof.
“With this location, our menu, and the team executing our style of service, be ready for a good time. I want your face to hurt from smiling,” said Keith Bavaro.
“We feel so lucky to be part of this neighborhood. Greenport has so much to offer and it seems like there is more to enjoy each season,” he added.
