Montauk Man Found Dead, No Foul Play

Raymond Marisette, a familiar sight to those who frequent the Gosman’s Dock area in Montauk, was found dead the morning of July 21.

The body of Marisette, 69, was found in a storage shed by friends who were checking on his well-being. He was homeless, and had been using the shed as a shelter, East Hampton Town police said. They have ruled out foul play in Marisette’s death.

For years, he could be spotted outside the Dock restaurant, almost always with a beer in his hand, and a smile on his face.
