RHS Student Earns Scholarship

East End Arts awarded its annual Frances Ligon Memorial Scholarship to Riverhead High School freshman student, Orangielee Wilkinson. Wilkinson is a strong student with an affinity for music, specifically the cello. By 2013, the promising student did more than play, she created music.

Beyond music, Wilkinson is very active both academically and on the tennis court. She is a member of Peer Leadership, Brookhaven National Lab, the Community Awareness Program against drugs, and the Step program at Suffolk Community College. Her dream is that all of her efforts will land her a desk at Rice University in Texas.
