New Pastor In Springs, Sag Harbor

Reverend Linda Westerhoff Maconochie has been named the new temporary pastor of both the Springs Community Church and the Old Whalers’ Church in Sag Harbor. She will dedicate a third of her time to Springs and the balance to Sag Harbor.

Worship times will change for both congregations. Springs will have services at 9 AM, and Sag Harbor will have services at 11 AM every Sunday.

Westerhoff Maconochie will start on April 1. A native of Southampton, Westerhoff Maconochie has served churches in Michigan, Missouri, Kentucky, and upstate New York for the past 35 years. She earned her bachelor of arts degree from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, and a master of divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Much of her ministry has been in small churches that have renewed their ministry and mission in the community. She also served on a nationwide task group that helped churches redevelop.

She is the mother of three adult daughters. In her free time she enjoys reading, swimming, and crafting.
