A Riverhead shopper found himself in a life and death situation while shopping at Home Depot on Sunday, April 7.
The unsuspecting shopper, whose identity was withheld by police, was walking in the parking lot when a man later identified as Able Tsang, 59, of Riverhead “rushed him,” police said.
The disheveled attacker knocked him to the ground and, according to Riverhead Police brandished a knife. He demanded money.
The victim was able to run, and got the alleged attacker’s license plate. Police responded, taking Tsang in on first-degree robbery charges. He was arraigned later that day.
