Green Beetz Day

Green Beetz Day was held on Saturday, July 27, from noon to 3 PM. The family-friendly event, hosted by Anna Chapman and Ronald Perelman, took place on the grounds of The Creeks in East Hampton. The day included food and cooking demonstrations, eco-friendly activations, and arts and crafts.

Green Beetz is a non-profit organization that empowers elementary and middle school students to navigate the modern food system, and to make healthy and sustainable food choices. Through hands-on activities and innovative media, Green Beetz takes a holistic approach to teach kids about: Food and the Environment, Food and the Body, the Big Business of Food, and Cooking Basics and Culture of Food.

Green Beetz currently serves more than 3,000 students and in over 100 classrooms across New York City’s five boroughs, focusing on underserved communities.
