Paddle For A Purpose
Another beautiful summer day called for fitness and philanthropy. On Saturday, July 13, Paddle Diva and SusanSweats teamed up to support Group for the East End at their second annual Land and Sea Wellness morning.
I arrived at Shagwong Marina, downed two cans of Love by Dr. Brew kombucha, and hit the water with about 10 others. Gina Bradley, the Paddle Diva herself, led the group through a stand-up paddle session. The paddling was followed by a full body-conditioning class with Susan Harrison (SusanSweats), who supplied me with my new favorite colorful workout pants by Prism Sport (I called them the Zebra Gum of activewear).
We got Silich Core and Strength with owner of the studio Linda herself, overlooking the water, in an overall grounding, relaxing, and idyllic summer morning. Forty percent of the proceeds went towards Group for the East End, an organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the environment of eastern Long Island since 1972.
