To celebrate America’s birthday, Southampton Village held its annual Fourth of July Parade on Thursday, July 4, from 10 AM to noon. The parade began at Railroad Plaza and continued down North Main Street, Main Street, and Jobs Lane, concluding at Agawam Park. For over 100 years, Southampton has honored Independence Day with the annual parade, which is one of the largest on Long Island. The 2019 Grand Marshal was William Hattrick, Jr. who has served as Southampton Village Mayor, Trustee, and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Hattrick retired in June after 40 years of service. Veterans, fire departments, antique cars, and marching bands were all included in the parade.
