Carriage House Thrift Shop
The Southampton History Museum completed the restoration of the historic 1890 Nugent Carriage House last month after funding from the New York State Environmental Protection Plan and the Village of Southampton. The house now is home to a thrift shop, to raise funds for its always-free education programs for seniors and children. A grand opening will be held on Thursday, August 1, from 4 to 6 PM.
UNCF
The United Negro College Fund will host its annual “A Mind Is . . .” Hamptons summer benefit on Saturday, August 3, from 5 to 9 PM at the home of Nancy Silberkleit in East Hampton. Veterinarians International
This year’s Veterinarians International gala on Saturday, August 3, 6:30 to 10 PM, will honor world-renowned wildlife veterinarian and global health expert Dr. William Karesh. The event at the Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club offers cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a VI immersive experience, an animal adoption wall, healing herb and spice station, dinner, music, auction, and more, including drumming on the beach and a luxe bonfire.
