Motorist Killed In Manorville

A man was killed in a single-car Manorville crash Sunday, September 15, Southampton Town police said.

Justin Owens, 28, of Selden, was headed west on Mill Road in his 1977 Datsun when he lost control of his vehicle, which veered off the road and struck a nearby tree in a heavily-wooded area of Halsey Manor Road at about 1 PM, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752. Initial reports said police were treating the death as accidental.
