Time To Taste The North Fork
It’s the ultimate tour for all things edible. The 13th annual North Fork Foodie Tour will take place across the region on Sunday, September 8, from 10 AM to 4 PM.
With more than 20 different participating locations, the self-guided tour will feature delectable and delicious local food and beverages, presented by the North Fork Reform Synagogue in association with the Peconic Land Trust.
Participating vendors include Deep Roots Farm, KK’s the Farm, Shared Table Farmhouse, Catapano Dairy Farm, Greenport Harbor Brewery, Krupinski’s Pumpkin Farm, Sang Lee Farm, Borghese Vineyard, RG/NY Vineyards (formerly Martha Clara), Satur Farms, Goodale Farm, Browder’s Birds, Lavender by the Bay, North Fork Egg Farm, North Fork Flower Farm, Treiber Farms, Peconic Land Trust, AG Center at Charnews Farm, 8 Hands Farm, Eastern Front Brewery, North Fork Roasting Company, and Castello di Borghese.
There will also be talks and demonstrations at the Agricultural Center at Charnews Farm, a Peconic Land Trust location, in Southold. Speakers include Chef Taylor Knapp of Peconic Escargot at 10:30 AM, Chef Stephan Bogardus of the Halyard at 11:30 AM, and a noon talk with botanical artist Monica Ray. At 1:30 PM, Peconic Land Trust’s Dan Heston will speak, and at 2:30 PM, will be Abra Morawiec of Feisty Acres Quail Farm.
