WHB Students Hear From Veterans

Westhampton Beach High School students recently learned about the sacrifices of local veterans in honor of Veterans Day. Pictured speaking with the students is U.S. Army veteran Peter Cothbert, who served during the Korean War.

In honor of Veterans Day, history students heard from several veterans with the Westhampton Beach VFW Post 5350 on November 8.

Throughout the day, the veterans took turns talking to students about their time in the military. The students thanked their honored guests for their service and listened carefully about the sacrifices they had made.

Among the veterans who visited were Cothbert, Tom Quinn, and Al Sparrow.
