Jackson Pollock Dinner
1 minute
01/27/2020
For the third year, Charlene and Dan DeSmet, owners of the historic The Springs Tavern (originally Jungle Pete’s), celebrated the life of artist and patron Jackson Pollock. Each item on the evening’s menu was a favorite of his and his wife, artist Lee Krasner. Helen Harrison, director of Pollock-Krasner House and author of “An Accidental Corpse,” a fictionalized story of the 1956 car crash that killed Jack, raised a toast to the creative couple. Also attending was Ruth Appelhof, author of the upcoming “Lee & Me,” the story of the summer of 1974, when she shared their home.
