Southampton Golfer Signs With Washington
All-State and All-County golfer Caraline Oakley signed a letter of intent for Washington University during a January 7 ceremony.
The Southampton senior has competed since she was a freshman, playing on the boys team before the district formed a girls team when she was a sophomore. She has won the Suffolk County title and qualified to compete in the state tournament the past two years.
Oakley is a three-year member of the girls varsity basketball team and played varsity volleyball for two, a member of the student council, chess, art, and yearbook clubs, and president of the varsity and outing clubs. She is also a member of the National and French honor societies, participates on the Math Team, and is involved with the Parish Collaborative and Compassion Without Borders.
She intends to study pre-med.
