Mattituck-Laurel Library
Senior Café and Conversation will be held at the Mattituck-Laurel Library on Thursday, March 5, at 11 AM. This is an opportunity for seniors to come and meet each other in a comfortable environment. The group meets on the first Thursday of every month.
An art reception for the North Fork Photography Club will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 3:30 PM. The monthlong exhibit in the library gallery is titled “North Fork Light.” For more information, visit www.mattitucklaurellibrary.org.
Hallockville Museum Farm
Join Barbara Blossey-Chuvalas at Hallockville Museum Farm as she leads students in making a shoulder tote on Saturday, March 7, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Members pay $80, non-members $90.
Are you curious as to why people eat corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day? Come join Diane Schwindt in the Hallock Homestead kitchen on Sunday, March 8, from 1 to 4 PM. Teams will work to create the meal itself using a cast iron wood-burning stove and traditional recipes. Members pay $55, non-members $65.
Hallockville Museum Farm will also be holding a benefit concert in its historic Cichanowicz Farmhouse on Sunday, March 8, at 3 PM. Sarah Brownawell, Terry Keevil, and Paolo Bartolani will be performing. Advanced registration is required as seating is limited. Doors open at 2 PM.

Art Workshop
A one-day beginner-to-intermediate workshop with Amy Worth will be held on Sunday, March 8, from 9 AM to 4 PM at the South Street Gallery in Greenport for those who want to learn, or improve their color skills and understand the importance of value. You do not need to be an artist to attend. Students will mix color and match a target using the gouache method.
There is a $150 fee, which includes $25 for materials and lunch. The class is limited to 12 people. Register online at www.southstreetgallery.com.
