COVID-19 Response Fund
Peconic Bay Medical Center sent out an email on Friday, March 27, to explain how it’s “humbled by the outpouring of support we have received in recent weeks.”
“Because of the generous support from our community and our devoted health care heroes working the front line, we have launched an aggressive response to COVID-19,” read the letter, signed by PBMC’s president and CEO Andrew Mitchell and deputy director Amy Loeb. “Because we have had so many offers of help and because we need your help, we have established the Peconic Bay Medical Center COVID-19 Response Fund.”
The email states that the fund will help purchase much-needed equipment including personal protective equipment for staff and breathing machines for ill patients. Donations can be made by visiting https://pbmcfoundation.thankyou4caring.org.
