Christopher Minardi Enters Race For East Hampton Village Trustee
Christopher Minardi, a member of the village zoning board for the last 12 years will be joining Jerry Larsen and Sandra Melendez on the NewTown Party ticket for the election in June.
Speaking of his decision, Minardi said, “Jerry’s campaign has momentum with residents who haven’t voted in a village election in over 20 years. Jerry has effectively communicated his vision of a modern village that respects our past. Jerry wants to make this a community again, and revitalize the downtown so local families come back to the village. Too many are leaving.”
Larsen, describing the development, said, “I’ve been trying to convince Chris to run with me since before I announced my candidacy for mayor. Chris’ father, Tony Minardi, was my science teacher in high school. I’ve known his family for nearly 40 years. He and his wife Sarah exemplify what community involvement and leadership looks like. Their efforts to make this village a better place to live for local families is inspiring, and Sandra and I are thrilled to have Chris onboard.”
Larsen had been cross endorsing Ray Harden, on the Elms Party for over a year now, but believes Minardi is a better fit for his progressive campaign.
