COVID-19 Student Impact Survey
The University of Wisconsin-Madison, through an anonymous online questionnaire, hopes to get a better understanding COVID-19’s impact on approximately 10,000 male and female athletes between the ages of 13 and 19 who were high school athletes within the last 12 months.
Each participant will be asked to complete a short survey — under 10 minutes — that asks questions about their mental well-being, physical activity, and overall quality of life. The survey asks about symptoms of emotional distress such as depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety. The university is using the survey only for research, not to diagnose mental health issues, and will not share the results.
If someone is experiencing emotional distress, he or she should contact his or her physician or other health care provider, such as a mental health professional.
