Stephen Hamilton Named Acting Director Of Sag Cinema 

Sag Harbor Cinema has appointed Stephen Hamilton, co-founder of Bay Street Theater, to acting director.

“Steve is a great friend to the cinema and had been working with us part-time, especially on our itinerant screenings,” read an email from the Sag Harbor Cinema board. “He is familiar with our staff and current programming, and brings his clear-headedness and experience to this important interim role.”

The cinema’s search committee has begun the formal process of finding a new permanent executive director.

 “We could not be more pleased to have Mr. Hamilton coordinating operations for this period of time,” the statement read.
