Sunrise Highway Lane Closure Expected By the Shinnecock Canal Wednesday

Some planned construction on the Shinnecock Canal bridge may cause some traffic delays Wednesday.

The New York State Department of Transportation said motorists should expect a lane closure on the eastbound side of Sunrise Highway, also State Route 27. The right lane near the bridge over the Shinnecock Canal will be closed between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. for long-term repairs and maintenance to the bridge.

This is a single day closure, though it is all dependent on the weather.
