Montauk Man Charged With Rape
A 21-year-old Montauk man was arrested on a charge of rape for allegedly having sex with a child he had met on social media who was between the ages of 12 and 14 years old.
East Hampton Town police arrested Ronny A. Dellosantos-Corporan Friday evening, charging him with two felonies, rape in the second degree, and committing a sexual act in the second degree, plus a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the police, the alleged female victim’s father “became suspicious of his child’s social media accounts and questioned her about it,” police said in a press release. Police were contacted, and detectives began an investigation. They determined that Dellosantos-Corporan had had sex with the girl twice this past week.
Dellosantos-Corporan was arrested at the Montauk precinct station, and was taken to headquarters in Wainscott where he was held overnight. He was arraigned via video-conference Saturday morning, and bail was set at $5,000, which his family posted.
