Candidates for East Hampton Village Board Set to Debate
With the East Hampton Village election just two weeks away, the candidates for village board will sit for a virtual debate that will air on Tuesday.
The East Hampton Group for Good Government has arranged the debate between the five candidates; David Driscoll of the Fish Hooks Party, Ray Harden and Richard Lawler of the Elms Party, and Sandra Melendez and Chris Minardi of the New Town Party.
They will debate will be recorded in advance via Zoom, but the public may tune in to watch on LTV starting on Tuesday, September 1 at 10:30 a.m. It will also be shown on Wednesday, September 2 at 4:30 p.m. The video will also be posted on LTV’s YouTube channel and on the GGG website when it is available.
A debate was held virtually two weeks ago for the mayoral candidates, Barbara Borsack, Arthur “Tiger” Graham and Jerry Larsen. It can be viewed here.
The election is set for Tuesday, September 15, with voting from noon to 9 p.m. It had originally been scheduled for June 19, but Governor Andrew Cuomo postponed the election due to coronavirus concerns.
