Goroff Raises More Than $620,000 Since Winning Primary
Nancy Goroff, who will face Rep. Lee Zeldin in November’s election, has raised more than $620,000 since she was declared the Democratic nominee for New York’s First Congressional District.
Goroff has raised over $880,000 in general election funds, her campaign said.
“Nancy’s grassroots campaign has continued to gain momentum over the past three weeks,” said Jacob Sarkozi, her campaign manager, in a statement. “It’s clear that Suffolk County voters are fed up with Rep. Lee Zeldin’s failed leadership and want a representative who will use a scientist’s fact-based perspective to tackle the real and unprecedented challenges of our time — the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, tens of thousands without health insurance, and much more. Nancy’s grassroots campaign draws a clear contrast with Rep. Zeldin’s divisive rhetoric and corporate PAC-funded campaign. Suffolk County voters are tired of Zeldin’s self-serving positions and hyper-partisanship and want the fresh, fact-based leadership that Nancy brings to the table.”
