Suffolk Theater Returns for Music, Comedy and More
Suffolk Theater is back this summer with live music, comedy and more. This unique Riverhead performance space also includes a full restaurant.
Kick off the summer with a performance by the 19-piece New Millennium Big Band featuring the music of Frank Sinatra. Hear hits like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “My Way,” “Come Fly with Me” and more on May 28.
On June 6, enjoy An Intimate Evening with John Kay of Steppenwolf: 50 Years of Songs and Storytelling. Kay, former founder, vocalist and songwriter of Steppenwolf, will sing personal songs and stories.
Steve Earle & the Dukes perform on June 11. The three-time Grammy winner’s songs have been recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Bob Seger and Willie Nelson.
Comedian Joe Piscopo takes the stage on July 17. Piscopo’s hilarious standup will be accompanied by the New Millennium Jazz Band.
“Teen idol” Frankie Avalon performs on August 1. You’ve no doubt seen Avalon in his iconic role in Grease, singing “Beauty School Dropout.”
On August 5, Kevin Nealon performs. This former SNL comedian and actor has played hysterical roles on TV series like Weeds and films like Happy Gilmore.
Long Island Music Hall of Famer band Vanilla Fudge takes the stage on August 14. Rock out to hits like “You Keep Me Hanging On,” “Season of the Witch,” “Take Me for A Little While” and more.
The legendary Janis Ian performs on August 22. The Grammy-winner will perform her many hits for the Suffolk Theater audience.
On September 18, Grammy winner Al Di Meola performs. Di Meola has collaborated with the likes of Jimmy Page, Steve Vai, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Milton Naciemento, Paco DeLucia and John McLoughlin. In this show, Di Meola will take on the works of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
