A native of Long Valley, New Jersey, Bove graduated from Elon University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He developed a passion for golf at a young age and in high school worked for a golf retailer and driving range.
Not long after college, he decided to pursue his dream of working in the golf industry. He moved and south and then joined Boca West in 2008, leading day-to-day operations in the golf retail shop — and in 2020 he joined the professional staff in the golf department.
“I am humbled and honored to have been recognized by the South Florida PGA Section as the Assistant Golf Professional of the Year,” Bove says in an announcement about the award. “This award would not have been possible without having the opportunity to work for exceptional leadership,” he continues, adding, “For 14 years at Boca West, I have been given the freedom to think big, embrace change, always learn from failure, and recognize that you’re always on stage.”
Bove resides in Delray Beach with his wife and three sons.
His best golf tip is: “The best players ‘swing the club,’ whereas the weekend warrior ‘hits the ball.’”
