Modern Omakase Concept Sushi by Boū Expands to Boca Raton

Sushi by Boū, originating from New York, will open its newest location in Boca Raton on the heels of West Palm Beach on July 21, according to a recent announcement.

“I’m so excited to bring our passion for sushi to my new hometown and look forward to showcasing our unique omakase experience to Boca Raton diners,” said Erika London, a partner of Sushi by Boū. “The Boca market is booming with a sophisticated dining audience, making the city a natural addition to our national expansion.”

Both founders of Sushi by Boū, London and Chef David Bouhadana are Boca Raton residents.

This new location will feature the classic omakase experience as well as outdoor seating, and its own original theme.

Sushi by Boū Boca Raton is designed with the luxury and glam of the 1920s with a variety of textures, dramatic architectural pieces, ambiance paying homage to architect Addison Mizner with geometric tiles and a bold, playful bathroom design representing his love of monkeys.

Their seasoned sushi chefs will guide guests through their meals for 60 minutes, creating the menu themselves and featuring two options, $60 with a 12-course omakase or $125 for a 17-course omakase.

The chefs’ delicacies include hamachi (yellowtail), botan ebi (spotted prawn), ikura (salmon roe), hotate (scallop) and more, along with hand rolls, dessert and other sushi favorites.

This opening brings Sushi by Boū to 14 locations nationally and 18 for SimpleVenue, a hospitality group founded by Michael Sinensky and London. The group brings unique micro-restaurant concepts to underutilized spaces, specifically bringing an elegant and new-age touch to the classic sushi counter.

Sinensky and London appointed Richie Romero as partner and Chief Hospitality Officer, and they plan to aggressively expand, adding at least another dozen locations in 2023.

Sushi by Boū is located at 409 SE Mizner Boulevard, Boca Raton. Their hours are Tuesday to Sunday 5 p.m. to midnight. Reservations can be made at sushibybou.com.
