Youth America Grand Prix Hosts Friend-Raiser
Amid the coastal beauty of Amagansett’s dunes, Elizabeth Jacoby and Richard Brand graciously hosted ballet devotees, opening their home to ABT soloist Chloe Misseldine and Ukrainian dancer Vsevolod Mayevsky. The event, a friend-raiser for Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), welcomed these accomplished artists, both of whom were YAGP alumni, to speak of the organization’s pivotal role in their careers and its global dance impact.
YAGP, the world’s largest dance network, has awarded $4.5 million in scholarships to date, fostering dreams through auditions, master classes and performances for 200,000 young dancers from diverse backgrounds. The ranks of YAGP alumni now include 450 dancers in 80 professional companies, with over 100 achieving soloist and principal positions in renowned troupes worldwide, marking a resounding testament to YAGP’s enduring influence.
