South Fork Sea Farmers Host Shell It Out Soiree
South Fork Sea Farmers made waves once again for East End aquaculture with the fifth annual fundraiser titled “Shell It Out” hosted by Jeff Ragovin. The nonprofit organization is committed to educating and raising awareness about the fragile state of our local marine aquaculture.
With their focus on promoting public oyster gardening and other forms of sea farming, the event aimed to safeguard the condition of our bays, sound and ocean. Attendees were treated to an afternoon of canapes, a raw bar, handcrafted cocktails and a silent auction.
The auction included prizes ranging from a game of pickleball with Oscar-winning actor Timothy Hutton to a great white shark tagging expedition. Other prizes included round-trip plane tickets to any destination within the United States and VIP tickets to the Hamptons International Film Festival, making it an unforgettable gathering for a vital cause.
